The Level Of Application Of Governance Principles And Its Impact On Achieving Quality Standards In Algerian Higher Education Institutions A Study Of A Sample Of Faculty Members Of Some Universities In Algeria

Résumé: استهدفت هذه الدراسة الوقوف على مستوى تطبيق مبادئ الحوكمة ودورها في تحقيق معايير الجودة في ثلاث مؤسسات جامعية (جامعة سطيف-1 المركز الجامعي بميلة والمدرسة العليا للإحصاء والاقتصاد التطبيقي بالجزائر) من خلال استقصاء آراء عينة من 476 أستاذ. توصلت الدراسة إلى جملة من النتائج أهمها أن مستوى تطبيق مبادئ الحوكمة في مؤسسات التعليم العالي محل الدراسة كان متوسطا، في المقابل كان مستوى توافر معايير الجودة منخفضا جدا، مع وجود فروق معنوية في الآراء حسب بعض متغيرات المراقبة، أيضا أظهرت النتائج وجود دور لمبادئ الحوكمة في تحقيق الجودة من خلال التأثير المعنوي والإيجابي والقوي لمبادئ الحوكمة على معايير الجودة، مع وجود عوامل أخرى تُؤثر أيضا على الجودة. This study aimed to identify the level of application of the principles of governance and its role in achieving quality standards in three institutions (University of Setif-1, University Center in Mila and the Higher School of Statistics and Applied Economics in Algiers) through a survey of a sample of 476 teachers.The study reached a number of results; the most important of which is that the level of application of the principles of governance in the institutions of higher education in the study was average. In contrast, the level of availability of quality criteria was very low, with significant differences in views according to some control variables. The results also showed a role for the principles of governance in achieving quality through their significant positive and strong impact on quality criteria, with other factors also affecting quality.
