Unveiling Efl Students Weakness In Phrasal Verbs: The Case Of Students Of English At Barika University Center
Résumé: This study attempts to investigate EFL learners ’views and attitudes towards the use of phrasal verbs with the aim of identifying their receptive and productive weaknesses in phrasal verbs. To collect the required data, a questionnaire was distributed to a randomly selected sample of 52 advanced EFL students at the English Department at Barika University Center. Using the descriptive statistics in SPSS to analysis the data, the results show that EFL students are unaware of the varying degrees of figurativeness that determine the context of phrasal verbs use. Correspondingly, this study concludes with certain pedagogical implications.
