Abstract : In our article exploring Jean-Paul Sartre's perspective on "engagement" and its relationship with theater, we examine how his theatrical works reflect his existential philosophy, which emphasizes individual freedom and the responsibility of actions. The concept of "engagement" is central to Sartre's philosophy, highlighting that individuals bear full responsibility for their choices and decisions, which shape their identity and impact those around them. The article underscores the significance of Sartrean theater as a platform for exploring existential philosophy, illustrating how theater interacts with Sartre's concepts and raises crucial questions about the nature of humanity and the challenges it faces.
