Different Perspectives Of Scholars On Socio-cultural Dimension In Translation
Résumé: This research paper aims at examining the different contributions of scholars such as Peter Newmark, Pierre Bourdieu, Justa Holz-Mänttäri, Eugene Nida, Itamar Even-Zohar and Gideon Toury and regarding the socio-cultural dimension in translation. It seeks to explore their perspectives on how language, culture, and society intersect within the translation process and influence the transfer of meaning across languages. By delving into their theories and insights, this paper intends to shed light on the importance of considering socio-cultural factors in translation practice and the implications for achieving accurate and culturally relevant translations. Through a comprehensive analysis of their works, this research endeavors to provide a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in navigating socio-cultural differences during translation and its significance in facilitating cross-cultural communication.
