Résumé: تهدف الدراسة إلى التعرف على مدى مساهمة التزام المدقق الخارجي بتنفيذ مسار التدقيق في تقليص فجوة التوقعات في المؤسسات الاقتصادية، من خلال دراسة ميدانية لعينة من 70 مفردة من المهنيين والأكاديميين بالاعتماد على الاستبيان كأداة للبحث والمنهج التحليلي الوصفي. وخلصت الدراسة إلى أن التزام المدقق الخارجي بمسار عملية التدقيق المتمثل في قبول المهمة والتخطيط لعملية التدقيق، دراسة وتقيم فعالية نظام الرقابة الداخلية، استخدام أدلة الإثبات الكافية والملائمة، إعداد المدقق للتقرير النظيف، يؤدي إلى تقليص فجوة التوقعات في المؤسسات مع ضرورة ضمان التأهيل العلمي والعملي، والاستقلالية التامة، وبذل العناية المهنية. The study aims to identify the extent to which the external auditor's commitment to implementing the audit path contributes to reducing the expectations gap in economic institutions, through a field study of a sample of 70 professionals and academics, relying on the questionnaire as a research tool and the descriptive analytical approach. The study concluded that the external auditor's commitment to the course of the audit process represented in accepting the assignment and planning the audit process; studying and evaluating the effectiveness of the internal control system; using sufficient and appropriate evidence; preparing the auditor for a clean report; leads to reducing the expectations gap in institutions with the need to ensure scientific and practical qualification; Complete independence and professional care.
