Résumé: ملخص: لاشك أنّ الملك يوغرطة من أهم الشخصيات البارزة في نوميديا وشمال أفريقيا، إذ شكّل رمزاً للمقاومة النوميدية ضد الاحتلال الروماني، وقد خلّدته العديد من المصادر القديمة لاسيما ما تركه المؤرخ الروماني "سالوستيوس " ((Sallustius في كتابه الموسوم بـــــــــــ ''حرب يوغرطة ('' (Bellum Iugurthinum، ولِكونه المصدر الرئيسي، استطعنا من خلاله معرفة تفاصيل حروبه والمناورات أثناء الاستراتيجية الحربية وأساليب مواجهة الرومان لاسترجاع أراضيه المغتصبة. اتبع يوغرطة أشكالاً مختلفة من القتال، وعرف كيف يتعامل مع العدو بكفاءة وخبرة كبيرتين، فكانت خُططه منظمة ومرتبة، فالملاحظ حول أهم معاركه بالمنطقة ولعّل أهمها معركة سوثول، المثول وزاما، وهي موضوع مقالنا، نجده قد وظف فيها الاستراتيجية الحربية والطبوغرافية الجغرافية للمنطقة باعتبارها ملائمة للكمائن وحرب الكر والفر. Summary : There is no doubt that King Jugurtha was one of the most prominent figures in Numidia and North Africa, where he represented the symbol of the Numidian resistance against the Roman occupation, and he was immortalized by many ancient sources, especially what the Roman historian Salustius said. He wrote in his book Bellum Iugorthinum, as the main source. Through him we were able to discover the details of his wars, the maneuvers during the war strategy, and the ways to confront the Romans to regain their usurped lands. Yugurtha followed different combat strategies, in the most important battles of Halti, he focused on the most important battles of Sotol, Al-Ithoul and Zama, which are the subject of our article.
