Résumé: ملخص: تهدف هذه الدراسة الى إلقاء الضوء على تطور الحركة الوطنية في السودان من1919 إلى 1924م، وهي الفترة التي بدأ فيها السودانيون يستشعرون هويتهم وكينونتهم وانتماءهم القومي للوطن بمفهوم القومية والوطنية. حيث تبلورت هذه المشاعر في إطار قاعدة اجتماعية ضيقة وسط المتعلمين سرعان ما نقلوها إلى الشعب السوداني في ظل نظام الحكم الثنائي البريطاني – المصري. ومن أهم ما توصلت إليه الدراسة من نتائج هو أن بريطانيا حاولت عزل السودان عن محيطها العربي والإسلامي محاولة ضرب اللغة العربية والدين الإسلامي، قبل ان تبدأ في العمل على فصل مصر عن السودان للانفراد. ولذا كانت الحركة الوطنية السودانية نتاجا طبيعيا للتفاعل السياسي والحضاري والظروف الدولية السائدة في تلك الفترة، فاستفادت من المد التحرري الذي اجتاح معظم الدول العربية في مواجهة المستعمر الذي حاول طمس هويتها الوطنية، وكانت محطة أساسية من محطات النضال السوداني من أجل استعادة حريته، وهو ما حصل في الفاتح جانفي من عام 1956 م Abstract: The aim of this study is to shed light on the development of the National Movement in Sudan from1919-1924, the period during which Sudanese people developed a feeling of belongingness that was transferred to the society. The study uses descriptive, historical and analytical approaches to analyze the data collected from sources. It is found that National Movement in Sudan was a result the interaction of political, civilization/ cultural and the world's circumstances then . The study also shows that the Sudanese national movement was natural because of the political and civilizational conflict that took place between the British occupation administration in Sudan and the Sudanese patriotic youth affected by the international conditions that prevailed in that period after the First World War. All these contributed to, the Sudanese feeling of their nationalism and the necessity of their liberation. This feeling was translated into revolutions to get independence.
