Résumé: الملخص: تتناول الورقة البحثية التالية السياسة الاستعمارية الفرنسية بالجزائر خلال فترة حكم نابليون الثالث في الشق المتعلق بمشىروع المملكة العربية الذي طرحه نابليون، وكذا الإجراءات والقوانين التي أصدرها تباعا لذلك، من ذلك القانون المشيخي -السيناتوس كانسولت- سنة 1863م، وتبعات ذلك على الدولة الفرنسية ومستعمرة الجزائر وموقف الكنيسة الكاثوليكية المعارض لهذا المشروع الذي اعتبرته تنازلا مفضوحا من نابليون الثالث لصالح الأهالي الجزائريين عن الكثير من الحقوق مقارنة بالمستوطنين الذي عانوا التهميش حسب زعمهما، وتزعم موقف الكنيسة لاسيما في الفترة ما بين 1867- 1870 الكاردينال لافيجري رئيس أساقفة الجزائر المعين من طرف نابليون نفسه، وخلال عهد لافيجري حققت الكنيسة أهدافها التبشيرية التنصيرية واستطاعت إنجاز الكثير من المكتسبات كانت في وقت سابق عاجزة عن تحقيقها، ساعدها في ذلك الحرب الفرنسية البروسية، والمجاعة التي ضربت الجزائر سنة 1867. وكذا شخصية لافيجري المشبع بروح الصليبية القديمة والعداء للإسلام. Abstract: The following research paper talks about the French colonial policy in Algeria during the period of the rule of Napoleon III in the part related to the project of the Kingdom of Arabia called for by Napoleon, as well as the procedures and laws issued by him accordingly, from that law - Senatus Cansault - in 1863 AD, and its consequences for the French state And the colony of Algeria and the position of the Catholic Church opposing this project, which it considered a blatant concession by Napoleon III in favor of the Algerian people for many rights compared to the settlers who suffered marginalization, according to their claim. The same, and during the era of La Vigrei, the Church achieved its missionary missionary goals and was able to accomplish many gains that it was unable to achieve earlier, helped by the Franco-German war and the famine that struck Algeria in 1867.
