الفلسفة والترجمة: المنهج الفلسفي السكندري في ترجمة المعارف اليونانية إلى العربية (41-232ه/ 662-847م)

Résumé: بخفوت نجم الحضارة الهيللنية بالإسكندرية وسطوع شمس الحضارة العربية؛ كان من الطبيعي أن تهتم الحضارة العربية الناشئة بتلك الحضارة السابقة، وكان أوج هذا الاهتمام في القرون الثلاثة الأولى من الهجرة النبوية. فقد وجدت الحضارة الإسلامية العربية نفسها وجهًا لوجه أمام حضارة ذات تراث علمي وإنساني هائل، فاتضح لتلك الحضارة الوليدة أن أول وسيلة لها لتجد مكانها بين الحضارات الأخرى هي الترجمة والنقل عن علوم السابقين. وقد قُدّر للعرب أن يكونوا ورثة الثقافة اليونانية المتمثلة بشكل خاص في مدرسة الإسكندرية القديمة. وإذا كانت مدرسة الإسكندرية قد أدت دورًا مباشرًا في إيقاظ الحركة العلمية في العصر الأموي، إلا أن حركة الترجمة تمت بمنأى عنها، حيث ظهرت معابر كانت حلقة وصل المعارف السكندرية إلى الخلافة العباسية. وقد اتسمت حركة النقل والترجمة حتى العصر العباسي الأول بعدة خصائص كان من أبرزها التفات العرب للفلسفة اليونانية، وهو الأمر الذي كان له آثارًا إيجابية وسلبية على المنهج العلمي العربي في تلك الفترة المبكرة من تاريخ الحضارة الإسلامية. With the subsidence of Hellenic civilization in Alexandria, and the glow of the Arabian civilization; it was expected that the developing Arabian civilization to care about this previous civilization, and the peak of this interest was in the first three centuries of the Prophet's migration. The Arabian civilization was faced with a civilization had an enormous scientific and human heritage, so that this rising new civilization realized that the primary step to find a place among other civilizations was through the translation of the earlier knowledge. It has been estimated for the Arabs to be the heirs of Greek culture, represented particularly in Alexandria’s old school. Although, Alexandria’s school had a direct role in awakening the scientific movement in the Umayyad period; but the translation movement with made away from it, where passages emerged to link the Alexandrian knowledge to the Abbasid Caliphate. The translation movement in the first Abbasid period has been characterized by several properties; the most notable feature was the attention of the Arabs towards Greek philosophy, which has had a positive and negative impacts on the Arabian scientific methodology in this early period of the history of Islamic civilization.
