تطبيق الحوكمة الرشيدة كمدخل للتنمية الاقتصادية - دراسة حالة الجزائر

Résumé: The study aims to determine the application of good governance in Algeria and its impact on economic development during the period 1996-2014. Therefore, we used the ordinary least squares method (OLS). Seven variables were selected. The dependent variable represents the per capita Gross National Real Income, whereas the independent variables represent: the Freedom of Opinion and Expression Index, the Political Stability Index, the regulatory frameworks, government effectiveness, and the rule of law and the anti-corruption indicators. The results indicated that: - The Algerian government implemented reforms in the political, economic and social fields within the framework of the concept of good governance. However, it was characterized by a deterioration in governance indicators, which was reflected by the negative values of all indicators during the study period; -Indicators of political stability and the rule of law are positively reflected on economic development in Algeria, while there is a negative impact of the level of regulatory frameworks; -Anti-corruption, government effectiveness, the level of expression and accountability indicators have no impact on the economic development in Algeria. Based on these findings, the study concluded that the issue of governance reform in Algeria should be dealt with in a deep and not superficial manner, and working on achieving integration between the state, the private sector and civil society in order to attain advanced levels of economic development.
