Etude De L’activité Des Huiles Essentielles De La Plante Teucrium Polium Ssp Aurasianum Labiatae

Résumé: This work is part of the valuation of the Algerian medicinal plants known for their therapeutic properties; we are interested in the study of the plant Teucrium polium Labiatae known for its richness in active material used by the local population in various therapies This work is dedicated on the one hand, to the extraction of essential oils, the influence of drying in the shade on the extraction yield and the identification of the chemical composition of which the objective is to study biological activities including antimicrobial activity, antifungal activity and the antioxidant activity of essential oils from medicinal plant Teucrium polium Labiatae, and secondly to highlight these activities. We performed the extraction of essential oils from the aerial part of the plant by the technique of steam distillation. The resulting extraction yield is 0.585%. The essential chemical composition of the oil was analyzed by GC / MS and 35 components were identified; limonene (34.72%), the α-pinene (25.42%), the β-pinene (8.59%), the α-elemol (4.21%) were the majority components The antibacterial activity was measured against eight bacteria Staphylococcus aureus is the most sensitive to inhibition of 21 mm diameter. The antioxidant activity of the essential oil was evaluated using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) test and power reduction iron antioxidant (FRAP) results give : IC50 of 58.6336 ± 0, 7207 mcg / ml and EC50 48.1936 ± 0.5628 The antifungal study on stem Alternaria arborescens, fusarium salani, Fusarium moniliforme, Fusarium oxysporum, et Stemphylium solani, also reported a weak results.
