L’anémie Hémolytique Auto Immune
Résumé: The term “anemia” refers to a decrease in the number of red blood cells and the level of hemoglobin in the blood. The term "haemolytic" indicates that the reduction of red blood cells is linked to their premature destruction. The term "autoimmune" means that this destruction is due to an antibody produced by your immune system and directed against your own red blood cells. The diagnosis of autoimmune hemolytic anemia is a clinical-biological diagnosis. The diagnosis of autoimmune hemolytic anemia is a clinical-biological diagnosis. The direct Coombs test (DDT) is the cornerstone of the etiological investigation of hemolytic anemia. It allows characterization of the mechanism of hemolysis: immunological or non-immunological. Special attention should be paid to the interpretation of TDA results. We will summarize the immuno-hematological diagnosis to be undertaken in the event of the suspicion of an AHAL. This biological exploration meets a triple objective: establish the diagnosis and type of autoimmune conflict, detect predictive factors of severity and guarantee transfusion safety. At the end, we will propose an algorithm for the immuno-hematology diagnosis of AHAI .
