Résumé: In Rue des Tambourins, Taos Amrouche expressed her confusion and sadness, two inevitable consequences to the exile she knew and the reject she underwent. In which context did this feeling appear, and what are the consequences on the Amrouches and especially, Taos? When did she realize the complicated feature of her identity and the identity of her family, and which led to their uprooting? The present article tries to answer these main two questions through an analytical study of Rue des Tambourins, based on narrative and descriptive discourse.
