Résumé: Solar air heaters are extensively used in low temperature energy technology; increasing importance of renewable energy and the low thermal efficiency of conventional flat-plate solar air heaters continue to attract researchers to design more efficient solar air heaters, this dissertation is a contribution to the study of parameters affecting the heat exchanges in a flat-plate collector in which we present and review some of the recent works that aims to improve the collector efficiency. Performance improvement can be achieved using diverse materials, various shapes and different dimensions and layouts. The modifications include the use of an absorber with fins attached, corrugated absorber, matrix type absorber, with packed bed, and different configurations
