Résumé: تهدف الدراسة الى معرفة دور الجامعة في خدمة المجتمع وماهي اهم الوظائف التي يمكن تأديتها ، حيث تعتبر الجامعات بمثابة مؤسسات رئيسية في عمليات التغيير الاجتماعي والتنمية، وتعميم مخرجات الأبحاث لتحقيق الأهداف المأمولة. ويتمثل الدورالذي قد تلعبه الجامعات في بناء مؤسسات جديدة للمجتمع المدني، وفي تطوير قيم ثقافية جديدة،ويتطلب التحسين السريع في رفاهية السكان تبسيط جميع الموارد المتاحة للأمة. وذلك يتطلب جامعة تأخذ الدور الريادي في جهود التنمية ووضع احتياجات عملية التطوير في صلب أنشطتها التعليمية. The study aims to know the university’s role in community service and what are the most important functions that can be performed, as universities are considered key institutions in the processes of social change and development, and the dissemination of research outputs to achieve the desired goals. The role that universities may play is building new institutions for civil society and developing new cultural values. Rapid improvement in the well-being of the population requires the simplification of all resources available to the nation. This requires a university that takes a leading role in development efforts and places the needs of the development process at the core of its educational activities
