Study And Simulation Of The Spatial Multiplexing Techniques In Lte Systems
Résumé: Long Term Evolution (LTE) represents the standardization efforts by Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) for developing a new high data rate radio access technique for the mobile cellular communication systems. Long Term Evolution brings Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technologies as key components for providing higher peak data rate, improved cell coverage as well as average cell throughput at a better system efficiency. The focus of this work is on performance analysis of LTE downlink transceiver, more specifically the impact of spatial multiplexing with MIMO techniques, using a simulation model developed in MATLAB. The results have been reported in terms of Bit Error Rate (BER) and data throughput versus Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) for different simulation configuration. The fairness of the results given by each simulation configuration was investigated. The spatial multiplexing increases reliability in rich signal conditions and enhance the spectral efficiency to produce a satisfactory data rate.
