Résumé: This study aims to investigate the most important methods used by teachers in the first stage of primary education to develop listening and speaking skills: How do the methods used by teachers in the first stage of primary education contribute to the development of listening and speaking skills? To answer the question, we adopted the descriptive method to describe the phenomenon of the methods used by the teacher in developing listening and speaking skills and a plan embodied in an introduction and preface to the topic, then we divided the research into two chapters, a theoretical chapter that includes the terms and concepts of the study, and a practical chapter that included presenting and discussing the results of the questionnaire distributed to (38) teachers in the first stage of primary education from various institutions in order to find the best ways and suggestions to improve it. The study came up with a set of findings, the most important of which are: The skill of speaking cannot be achieved without the skill of listening. The high demand of teachers for modern active learning strategies.
