طاعون الموت الأسود وجهود أوربا في مواجهته ق14- ق17م Europe's Efforts To Confront The "black Death" Plague

Résumé: يحاول هذا المقال تتبع الجهود التي قامت بها أوربا لمواجهة وباء الموت الأسود الذي أصابها بدءا من القرن الرابع عشر، والذي وصف كأحد أسوء الأوبئة التي عرفتها البشرية، نظرا لهول الخسائر الديمغرافية التي خلفها. وعلى عكس العديد من المناطق الأخرى في العالم بادرت السلطات الحكومة في أوربا إلى القيام بعدة إجراءات منظمة من أجل محاصرته والحد من خطورته، فأنشأت بيوت الطاعون لعزل المصابين، كما شددت اجراءات الحجر الصحي المنزلي، إلى جانب أساليب عديدة في الوقاية. ومع وعينا بصعوبة السيطرة على وباء خطير مثل الطاعون الأسود بإمكانيات تلك الفترة، إلا الاجراءات الوقائية التي أقدمت عليها السلطات المركزية والاقليمية في أوربا قد أبانت على فعاليتها في التقليل من خسائره والتغلب عليه مع حلول القرن السابع عشر، في الوقت الذي استمر في مناطق أخرى إلى القرن التاسع عشر. Abstract This article attempts to track the efforts made by Europe to confront the "Black Death" epidemic that afflicted it during the fourteenth century, which was considered as one of the worst epidemics mankind have ever known, because of the horrific demographic losses that it had left. Unlike many other regions in the world, the authorities in Europe took the initiative to take several organized measures in order to besiege it and reduce its risk by creating plague houses to isolate the patients, and intensifying the domestic quarantine measures, along with many methods of prevention. Being conscious of the difficulty of controlling a serious pandemic, such as the Black Plague, in spite of the limited potentials then, only the preventive measures undertaken by the central and regional authorities in Europe have proved effective in minimizing its losses and overcoming it by the seventeenth century, by the time it kept spreading in other regions till the nineteenth century.
