الاسلام وروح المقاولة: هل كان ماكس فيبر على حق؟

Résumé: إن الفكرة القائلة بأن الإسلام يقف على النقيض تماما من مفهوم المقاولة الرأسمالية لها خلفياتها في كتابات الباحثين الغربيين، هذه الورقة تقدم أطروحة عالم الاجتماع والاقتصادي Max Weber حول مقارنة الإسلام مع المسيحية الكالفينية والتي انتهى فيها إلى اعتبار الإسلام قطبا موازيا ومعارضا لقيم العمل البروتستانتية التي أنتجت الروح الرأسمالية الغربية الحديثة. بعد ذلك تنتقل الورقة إلى مراجعة نقدية لتلك الأطروحة من خلال كتابات الباحثين الغربيين أنفسهم، حيث يتم تبيان مكامن الخلل في فكرة التعارض التي قدمها Weber وكيف أن الإسلام يشكل روح المقاولة بما يمكّن من اعتباره دينا مقاوليا بمعنى أنه يحفز ويشجع السلوك المقاولي فيما يتعلق بتحمل بالعمل والإنتاج والمخاطرة لاغتنام الفرص وخلق الثروة المادية. الاسلام؛ روح المقاولة؛ سوسيولوجيا الدين ؛ المقاولاتية؛ ماكس فيبر. Abstract: The idea that Islam with its ethical and historical context is incompatible with the entrepreneurial capitalism has its roots in the writings of some Western sociologists. This paper examines the thesis of Max Weber that Islam unlike Calvinism impeded the emergence of entrepreneurial spirit in Muslim societies. After that, the paper states the main criticisms of the weber thesis presented by several Western scholars. We conclude that the Weberian thesis fails to build a valid and consistent perspective about Islam and the so-called Protestant work ethic. We assert that Islam shapes the entrepreneurship spirit in the sense that it encourages entrepreneurial behaviour, i.e., risk-taking, opportunity pursuit and wealth creation.
