المواقف الأمريكية المؤيدة للقضية الجزائرية خلال الفترة 1956- 1960

Résumé: يذكر المؤرخ شارل ل. قيدز أنه منذ اندلاع الثورة الجزائرية لم يكن يوجد سوى عدد قليل من المواطنين الأمريكيين،الذين كانوا يؤمنون بسبب قناعتهم بحق الشعوب المظلومة في الثورة على الحكم الاستعماري وبضرورة منح الجزائريين الحق في تقرير مصيرهم،و كانوا يستنكرون أعمال القمع التي كان يقوم بها المعمرين و القوات الفرنسية المسلحة تجاه الثورة الجزائرية. Charles Gidz states that since the outbreak of the Algerian revolution, there were few of US citizens who believed, because of their convictions, in the right of oppressed peoples to revolt against colonial rules and the need to grant the Algerians the right to self-determination, on the hand a number of other Americans denounced only the wave of oppressions that had been carried out by the French forces toward the Algerian revolution.
