Résumé: Abstract: The interest of the mental image’s importance for societies, organizations, and enterprises is in increasing because it plays an efficient role in the conception of individuals’ opinions, personal impressions, and positive behaviors. So that, most studies or researches on mass-communication have focused on the role of the media in the conception of the mental image, ignoring the social environment’s impact which is the field or the space where all media operate. المؤلف المرسل: الاسم الكامل البريد الالكتروني: Key words: Mental image; mental image’s conception; social environment. الملخص: يتزايد الاهتمام بموضوع الصورة الذهنية وأهميتها بالنسبة للمجتمعات، والمنظمات والمؤسسات، نظرا للدور الفعال الذي تلعبه في تشكيل الآراء وتكوين الانطباعات الذاتية وخلق السلوك الايجابي لدى الأفراد، فقد ركزت معظم الدراسات في علوم الإعلام والاتصال حول الصورة الذهنية على الدور الفعال والمحوري الذي تلعبه وسائل الإعلام المختلفة في تشكيل الصور الذهنية متجاهلة نوعا ما البيئة الاجتماعية التي تعمل فيها هذه الوسائل وتأثيراتها على تشكيل الصور الذهنية وتعديلها.
