Reconciliation And Mediation: Alternative Or Consensual Methods For Resolving Conflicts

Résumé: The Algerian government is committed to modernizing its justice system and simplifying judicial procedures for litigants in order to adapt to contemporary life. Due to the increasing complexity and volume of legal disputes, the legislature has introduced alternative ways to resolve disputes in a shorter time and with greater effectiveness under the new Civil and Administrative Procedures Law 08-09. Mediation and conciliation are two methods that are used within the framework of a lawsuit, and they raise the question of whether they are alternative methods. This study aims to determine the legal status of reconciliation and mediation as amicable ways to resolve disputes. The litigants are required to choose these methods and abandon judicial disputes.
