Résumé: Abstract: City walls are among the most vital military structures constructed by states,reflecting their level of civilization and urban fortitude They function as the primary line of defense that adversaries must surmount to penetrate and subjugate a city. As the quantity of Muslim antagonists escalated over time, attention to erecting walls and encapsulating cities with them intensified, furnishing a protective bulwark against assaults. The Muslims' emphasis on walls emanated from a yearning to secure the nation, its populace, possessions, and existence., as the Zayyanid state constituted the nucleus of the central Maghreb. Its sultans were steadfast in their commitment toconstructing fortified ramparts. This analysis delves into the defensive fortifications inTlemcen during the Zayyanid epoch ملخص : الأسوار من أهم المنشآت العسكرية، التي تشيدها الدول ، فهي ّ تعبر عن التقدم الحضاري والقوة في مجال العمران، كما أنها تعتبر أول الخطوط الدفاعية التي يجب على العدو تجاوزها للدخول إلى المدينة والإطاحة بها.، مع مرور الزمن ولكثرة أعداء المسلمين بدأ الاهتمام بالأسوار، واحاطة المدن بها، وذلك لتكون لهم درعا واقيا من الهجمات عليهم فاهتمام المسلمين بالأسوار كان نتيجة للحفاظ على البلاد ، العباد والأعراض والأرواح ،لقد كان لمدينة تلمسان كحاضرة من حواضر المغرب الإسلامي أسوار الغرض الأساسي من تشييدها هو الحفاظ على المدينة من هجمات الأعداء وضرباتهم، باعتبار الدولة الزيانية قاعدة المغرب الأوسط، فقد حرص سلاطينها على تشييد الاسوار المنيعة، اذ سنتطرق الى موضوع الحصون الدفاعية بتلمسان في الفترة الزيانية
