L’eau Et L’espace Agraire Dans L’oued Souf : Cas De L’ancienne Palmeraie

Résumé: Water and agrarian space in the Oued Souf: case of the old palm plantation The valley of Oued Souf suffers from the water management, which generates negative effects on the agricultural environment, in particular, hydro-halomorphic. The present work, studies the water management and their effects on the agricultural area, Ghouts and the modern exploitation in El-Oued palm grove. This study consisted in taking samples of the grounds and water. by a random systematic sampling. The samples undergo with analyses of physicochemical parameters (E.C., pH and R.d) and of the statistical processing (AFC and ACP) This space characterized by a rising phreatic waters and there salinity with the salinization of soil and water. The phreatic waters are ascending in the majority of Ghouts with a static level of over 3 m in the development perimeter, with a salinity average of 4.98 ± 0.36 dS.m-1. This constraint promotes the salinization of soils estimated to an average of 1.21 ± 0.095 dS.m-1. The spatial variation of hydro-edaphic parameters showed a variable level of degradation between the two agricultural systems. While the degraded soil above 60% in Ghouts and less than 40% in the development perimeters. The study also shows an increase in urbanization at the expense of Ghouts and neglect of a part of the latter for socioeconomic reasons, including increased land prices and inheritance. This situation requires a new planning policy to maintain agro-urban balance in El Oued and ensure sustainable development of the latter.
