Étude De Phénomène De Cavitation Et Corrosion Sur Les Chemises Des Pistons D’un Moteur Diesel Caterpillar 3512 A.
Résumé: Oil and gas are the most important energy sources in the world, to exploit them it is necessary to do a drilling operation that is one of the most important mechanisms to reach the sources of hydrocarbons. To continue the drilling operation quickly and thoroughly, it is necessary to ensure a good supply of the electrical energy essential for the drilling rig and its accessories. In oil works, the only source that ensures the power supply to the drilling rig is the diesel engine through an alternator. This work presents the outcomes and consequences of corrosion and cavitation that attack the cylinder liners of piston diesel engines and the effect of the circulation of coolant around the engine block and these cylinder liners. Based on the analysis of these two phenomena, we provided some solutions to preserve the engine's long life and improve the quality of service.
