Résumé: The present study aimed to know the impact of the quality of work life on the organizational commitment within a group of teaching staff in a group of university institutions, and to identify the level of the quality of work life. as well as the level of organizational commitment in university institutions subject to study. where the quality of work life was considered as the independent variable which was divided into main dimensions (material imension, organizational dimension and functional dimension). and sub-dimensions (remuneration, material working conditions, human relations, training programs, opportunities for job promotion and job security). organizational commitment was considered to be the dependent variable. And in order to achieve the bjectives of the study. the researcher used the analytical descriptive approach, and relied on the questionnaire as a data collection tool. The study population, numbered 2,536 academic staff, was made from teaching staff. The said questionnaire was distributed to a sample of 380 members of the teaching staff spread over three university institutions in the Eastern region of algeria (University Center Abdelhafid Boussouf - Mila, University of Jijel, University of Skikda). using the easy sample method. where the results of the questionnaire were analyzed on the basis of statistical tools and tests using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). the results of this study concluded: - There is a level of variable interest in the dimensions of the quality of work life on the part of the teaching staff in the group of university institutions subject to study. - There is an average level of quality of worki life was recorded. - There is an average level of organizational commitment prevailing in the group of university institutions subject to study. The results showed: - There is an impact of the quality of work life on organizational commitment in the group of university institutions subject to study.- The existence of the impact of dimensions of quality of work life (material, functional, organizational) on the organizational mmitment. - The results proved there were statistically significant differences in the opinions of the study ample regarding the quality of work life due to the following personal and functional variables: (age group,employing university institutions). At the level of the moral aspect (α≤ 0.05). - The results confirmed the existence of statistically significant differences in the opinions of the study sample regarding of organizational commitment due to the following personal and functional variables: (sex. Employing university institution). At the level of the moral aspect (α≤ 0.05). The study recommends the need to make improvements in the material aspect and modifications were introduced on the organizational aspect secondly, then thirdly introducing changes to be made to the functional aspect.
