Comportement Du Consommateur Algérien Vis-à-vis L’huile D’olive « Cas De La Région De Mostaganem »
Résumé: The aim of this study is to establish a profile of consumption and to know how the people of Mostaganem select the olive oil. In order to reach our objective, we proceeded at a questionnaire so as to get an idea about the usual frequency of consumption, the simplest method of food consumption survey which seeks to evaluate the consumption of the virgin olive oil. We have asked several individuals (all ages, sex, from different areas). The latter do not seem to have an influence on olive oil consumption. In the light of our survey, we have noticed that the majority of the people registered consume olive oil, 30% of the population take this product every day, and the same percentage of the people prefer olive oil for seasoning and less for cooking. The questionnaire shows that 50% of the olive oil consumers prefer buying it directly from the producers, whereas 70% use it for its therapeutic effects. About 30% of the consumers value the quality of olive oil as the most important criterion for buying olive oil. They give less importance to the origin and to the price of the product.
