Résumé: تعتبر العمارة الجنائزية من أهم الفنون المصرية القديمة علي الاطلاق، و اكثرها ثباتا حتي الان، فهي تعد العامل الاساسي في المحافظة علي الحضارة المصرية، لأنها هي التي خلدت تلك الآثار و حافظت علي بقائها الي الان منذ الألف السنين، و قد كان المصري القديم يهتم جيدا بالحياة الاخرة، و من هذا المنطلق جاء اهتمامه ببناء المقابر لتكريم الموتى، و لإعتقاد المصري القديم أن العمارة دلالة علي البقاء و الخلود، بنيت المقابر و المعابد باهتمام شديد و تطورت تطورا مذهلا. و الإشكال الذي بين أيدنا هو إلى أي مدى تطور شكل المقبرة الملكية في عهد الدولة القديمة؟ على أن خلاصة بحثنا هذا توصلت إلى أن المقابر الملكية في عهد الدولة القديمة تطورت من مرحلة لاخرى، حيث بدأت المقابر في بداية الاسرات بشكل بسيط ثم أصبحت تأخذ شكل المصاطب، و هي كانت عبارة عن مقابر مستطيلة الشكل ثم تطورت و أصبحت على شكل بناء هرمي.
