Résumé: Crises are the most emerging variable at the present time in general, which has led to the need for the emergence of an independent science related to crises and how to manage and confront them, called the science of crisis management. In particular, new media are considered among the most important developments of the era; whose importance is evident within the crisis management strategies of institutions that deal with crises on a daily basis, as seen on the page of the Algerian Civil Protection Organization in the Wilaya of Ouargla, like other humanitarian institutions that deal with crises on a permanent and frequent basis, and which was chosen to represent an intentional sample for this study, starting from a main question: How does the Algerian Civil Protection Organization in the Wilaya of Ouargla use the social networking site Facebook as one of the new media in its crisis management strategies? Through this question, this study sought to identify the strategies followed in managing crises through new media and the extent of exploiting the technological development that occurred during decision-making and developing solutions to confront these crises, and to identify the capacity of the new media while achieving the objectives of the Algerian Civil Protection Organization in the Wilaya of Ouargla during its crisis management across its page, as well as it sought to achieve a number of objectives related to the form and content categories of the analysis form. This study relied on the descriptive and analytical method of a sample of Facebook publications from the Algerian Civil Protection page in the wilaya of Ouargla according to the method of regular random sampling, and the analysis form tool in collecting data divided into categories related to the form and the content of publications. After our analysis of these groups, we concluded that: * The Civil Protection page of the Wilaya of Ouargla adopted the Arabic language in the first place for publications related to crisis issues. * The Civil Protection page of the Wilaya of Ouargla utilized the image tool in the first place to support publications that dealt with issues of crises, as it strengthens the strategies adopted by it. * The Civil Protection page of the Wilaya of Ouargla follows its own strategies during its crisis management, including the corrective action strategy, the corrective action strategy, and the strategy for reducing and minimizing violence and the severity of the event. * The Civil Protection page of the Wilaya of Ouargla deals with the topics of immediate crises in order to manage them through the communication medium "Facebook", which indicates the acumen of the page's officials for the role of these media.
