Résumé: بالنظر لضربات جيش التحرير الوطني وازدياد ضراوة الثورة واشتدادها، عمدت السلطات الاستعمارية إلى القضاء على الثورة بقطع روافد الإمداد عنها وتطويقها وعزلها في الداخل وبالتالي خنقها، وذلك من خلال إنشاء شبكة هائلة من الأسلاك الشائكة المكهربة على امتداد الحدود الشرقية، ورغم خطورة هذه الأسلاك فإن المجاهدين استطاعوا مرات عديدة اختراقها، كما قامت قيادة الحدود بتخريب الأسلاك الشائكة وشن هجومات مختلفة على مراكز القوات الفرنسية ووحداتها المتمركزة على الحدود الشرقية.
