Étude Phytochimique Et Activités Biologique Des Plantes Médicinales.
Résumé: In recent years, the use of medicinal plants has increased considerably. More and more elderly people use dietary supplements and herbal remedies without consulting a doctor, assuming that these substances will have a beneficial effect on them. For this, we have chosen two kinds of plants with great uses in traditional medicine: Pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) and Ginger (Zingiber officinale) which have strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory capacities.The main objective of this research work is to establish a phytochemical study of the two plants of the Lythraceae and Zingiberaceae families.The dosage of the various phenolic compounds was carried out and the values found showed the richness of these plants in polyphenols, flavonoids. The polyphenol content was determined by spectrophotometry using the colorimetric method folin-cocalteu after preparation of the aqueous extracts raw from both plants In the two species studied, the results revealed the existence of distinct families of secondary metabolism. After ethanolic et hydroethanolic maceration and evaporation. We obtained a yield of dry ethanolic extracts of punica granatum l. and zingiber officinale of 28.09% and 21.86%, respectively,.The last part deals with the valorization of the different plant extracts. First, the antioxidant activity of the extracts of the two species is measured by the method (DPPH). .and the results indicate the existence of a good inhibition of the DPPH+ radical for the two plants.Then, the extracts underwent a study of their antibacterial activities. Through the process of diffusion by the disc. They showed remarkable antibacterial activities on different strains. (Escherichia coli ATCC, Bacillus Cereus, Pseudomonas aeroginosa, Staphylococcus aureus) for punica granatum and zingiber officinale had shown a weak effect for the two strains. (Escherichia coli ATCC, Staphylococcus aureus) and an absent effect for strains (Bacillus Cereus, Pseudomonas aeroginosa)
