Résumé: يكتسي موضوع الإساءة للمقدسات الدينية أهمية بالغة لما لهذه المقدسات من تأثير في حياة المجتمعات وارتباطها الوثيق بمعتقدات تلك الشعوب، وعلى هذا الأساس أدرك المجتمع الدولي الأهمية البالغة للمقدسات الدينية على اعتبار أنها تراث مشترك للإنسانية جمعاء، فجرم الأفعال التي تشكل اعتداء على المقدسات والرموز الدينية سواء كانت هذه الأفعال مادية كالتخريب أو الاتلاف أو معنوية كتشويه صورتها أو ازدراءها، ومن هذا المنطلق جاءت ورقتنا البحثية هذه لمعالجة نقطة مهمة وأساسية تمثلت في التطرق إلى تشويه صورة الإسلام بين مقتضيات القانوني الدولي ومتطلبات حرية التعبير.
