Etude Des Propriétés Opto-mécaniques Du Verre Érodé Par Sablage
Résumé: The paper aim is to study the size, velocity and impact angle effect of sand grains particle on the surface degradation process and the opto-mechanical properties of soda glass. By varying the sand particles velocity 'Vp', the size 'Tp' and the impact angle 'Ap', different surface states were obtained. The surface damage effect on the parameters: surface roughness 'Rq', mechanical strength 'Rm', damaged surface 'Sd' and optical transmission 'To' were presented. A great dependence between these studied parameters and the different parameters of sandblasting condition was observed. The results obtained reveal that a linear relationship has been attributed between the glass opto-mechanical properties and the sandblasting conditions parameters, in particular the sand particles speed and the impact angle. As for the particle size effect, a very high efficiency of glass surface erosion was observed for the average size. This feature, reflects well the Gaussian distribution obtained from the variation of the optical transmission loss ‘To’ and the damaged surface ‘Sd’ as a function of the sand grains particle size ‘Tp’. Microscopic observations confirm these results
