The Effect Of Cooperative Language Learning On English As A Foreign Language Learners' Writing Skill Enhancement
Résumé: The present experimental study seeks to investigate the effect of Cooperative Language Learning as a method to enhance third year high school students’ writing skill while learning English as a foreign language, because students, sometimes, face some difficulties when it comes to write individually. As a solution, researchers proposed group work to enhance students’ writing skill. The study sample consists of 41 students who are divided into two groups; the experimental group and the control group. In the process of collecting the research data, two research tools were used. First, an experiment was conducted by implementing a cooperative learning technique, Jigsaw. This study is based on a pre and a post-test, in addition to a questionnaire which was oriented to students in order to check their interests towards writing and cooperative learning. The findings of the study have confirmed the research question that the students’ writing skill is enhanced through the use of Cooperative Language Learning. Thus, this pinpoints that Cooperative Language Learning is really effective, under the CBA, in developing better results for the improvement of EFL learners’ writing skill.
