Résumé: This study aimed to highlight the importance of the fixed-term employment contract in the Algerian labor legislation. That it can only be resorted to within the framework of the cases mentioned exclusively under the provisions of article 12 of law 90/11 related to labor relations and the reasons forresorting to it , and to protect this contract , the legislator surrounded it with oversight carried out by the labor inspectorate or what is known as a administrative control. It is also carried out by the judiciary or what is known as judicial oversight, and sometimes the fixed-term employment contract may arise some circumstances that require the intervention of a special legal system in the relationship, such as the case of suspension or modification, in addition to the case of renewal or termination, which always due to the peculiarities of the fixed-term contract takes a special character separate him from the normal relationship
