Résumé: The current research aims to study the reality of higher education in Algeria after its establishment of the LMD system, where higher education is the strategic balance of advanced and contemporary nations and peoples, and it is considered as the pyramid education through which human wealth is prepared. Higher education in Algeria has undergone many reforms, including the LMD, in order to achieve tangible results, especially on the qualitative level, trying to keep pace with environmental and technological changes, but on the other hand, l Algeria faced several challenges, whether internally or externally, when adopting this system, so the Algerian state had to address them, and the prospects for higher education in Algeria also been mentioned
