Préparation Du Biodiesel À Partir D'une Huile Végétale On Utilisant Un Catalyseur Hétérogène

Résumé: Biodiesel (or diester), is a biofuel obtained from vegetable or animal oil transformed by transesterification, a chemical process that is designed to obtain the methyl ester or ethyl ester. Biodiesel is trying to compete with vegetable oils used in the raw state (the other family biofuels) and conventional diesel. Biodiesel can be used in engines without adding other fuel or blended with conventional diesel, it is one of the most promising substitutes for petroleum-based diesel because of its environmental benefits. It is biodegradable with lower carbon dioxide emissions and sulfur and virtually no polluting particles. In this work we will study the transesterification of cooking oil (used oil) using a new catalyst derived from kernel dates. The catalyst is prepared by calcination of kernel dates at various temperatures to then used in the preparation of biodiesel. Biodiesel performance will be optimized by determining the best concentration and the best calcination temperature of the catalyst. The results obtained show that the calcination product of kernel dates is a good catalyst for biodiesel production reaction. The best yield of biodiesel is obtained for a calcination temperature equal to 800 ° C and a concentration of 5% catalyst with a value of 95.4%.
