Résumé: Abstract : The Algerian legislator established the Independent National Electoral Authority by virtue of Organic Law No. 19-07 of 14/09/2019 in order to ensure the integrity and transparency of the electoral process demanded by political parties and the popular movement on February 22, 2019 and under special political circumstances,It granted it wide powers in running the electoral process, starting with the preparation, organization, management and supervision of the elections, that is, from the process of registering in the electoral lists and reviewing them, through all the processes of election preparation, voting procedures, counting and deciding electoral disputes until the announcement of the results. PrimaryIn order to verify the effectiveness of the powers granted to the authority and the extent of its administrative and financial independence, as well as the powers that guarantee it impartiality from all parties participating in the electoral process. All of this is in order to achieve the embodiment and deepening of constitutional democracy and the promotion of the electoral system in order to consolidate the principle of the sovereignty of the people through free, fair and transparent elections and to achieve legitimacy and democracy within the framework of the rule of law.
