Résumé: يسعى هذا البحث إلى أن يسلّط الضوء على المعجم اللغوي التاريخي لأوغست فيشر الذي حاول وضع معجم تاريخي للغة العربية سنة 1936م، والذي يعدّ جهدا عظيما، إذ حاول بمفرده أن ينجز معجماً تاريخياً للغة العربية، ذاكراً أن معجمه سيشمل اللغة العربية منذ القديم إلى نهاية القرن الثالث للهجرة، وعملي في هذا البحث هو وصف وتحليل تلك المحاولة المعجمية، من خلال إعطاء نبذة تاريخية عن المعجم، ومراحل سير إنجازه، بدءاً بالتعريف بأوغست فيشر، ووصف التقرير الذي قدمه فيشر لمجمع اللغة العربية بالقاهرة والذي يحمل في طيّاته مشروع إنجاز المعجم ونموذج منه، ثم بيان ما طبع منه، ومنهجه في صناعة المعجم التاريخي، والمصادر التي اعتمد عليها في توثيق الألفاظ. this research seeks to shed light on the historical linguistic dictionary of the Arabic language in 1936 AD, which is considered a great effort, as he tried on his own to complete a historical dictionary of the Arabic language, stating that his dictionary will include the Arabic language from ancient times to the end of the third century of Hijrah. And my work in this research is to describe and analyze that lexical attempt, by giving a historical overview of the lexicon, and the stages of its implementation, starting with the definition of August Fisher, and describing the report that Fischer submitted to the Arabic Language Academy in Cairo, which carries with it a project to complete the lexicon and a model of it, and then a statement What was printed from it, his approach in making the historical dictionary, and the sources he relied on in documenting the words.
