Résumé: الملخص باللغة العربية: لم يكن إحراق الكتب بالمغرب الإسلامي حدثا عابرا منعزلا يمكن تجاوزه أو دراسته منفصلا عن باقي الأحداث التاريخية، بل كان ظاهرة متكررة لفتت انتباه المؤرخين والباحثين، حيث جاءت لأسباب مختلفة تنوعت بين الدينية والمذهبية، والسياسية تارة أخرى. من المدونة الى الاحياء، ومن كتب ابن رشد الى الى الغزالي، تعددت الأسباب، واختلفت النتائج. فما هي أهم حالات حرق الكتب بالمغرب الإسلامي، وما هي أسبابه المشتركة والمختلفة، وماهي أهم نتائج هذه الظاهرة؟ الكلمات المفتاحية: حرق الكتب ؛إحياء علوم الدين؛ الغرب الإسلامي؛ الصراع المذهبي؛ الفقهاء. Abstract: The burning of books in the Islamic Maghreb was not an isolated, passing event that can be overlooked or studied separately from other historical events. Rather, it was a recurring phenomenon that drew the attention of historians and researchers, arising from various reasons that ranged from religious and sectarian to political motives. From Al-Mudawwana to Ihya’, and from the works of Ibn Rushd to those of Al-Ghazali, the causes were numerous, and the outcomes varied. What were the main instances of book burning in the Islamic Maghreb? What were their common and differing causes? And what were the significant outcomes of this phenomenon?
