Design And Analysis Of Y-shaped Microstrip Antenna
Résumé: This project deals with the design and simulation of a new microstrip patch antenna using IE3D software. The designed antenna is a Y-shaped microstrip patch antenna at the operating frequency 2.45 GHz which is suitable for wireless body area network (WBAN) and telemedicine applications. A rectangular antenna with an operating frequency of 2.45 GHz has been studied at the beginning. Later, the rectangular shape is modified to Y-Shaped Antenna operating at the same frequency. The analysis is then extended to Y-Shaped Antenna loaded by two N slots. The obtained results show that the slotted antenna can operate at 2.45 GHz with size reduction of the structure of about 54.7%. Both Y and slotted Y-shaped microstrip antennas have been fabricated and tested. A good simulation and measurement results are achieved.
