Résumé: This study dealt with phonetic terms in the book “The Secret of Eloquence” by Ibn Sinan Al-Khafaji, the phonetic term is considered the basic nucleus on which the linguistic research is based, where he studies the sound from several aspects. In his book, Ibn Sinan Al-Khafaji employed the phonetic terminology represented in the members of the vote and the pronunciation that included the exits of the letters and their qualities, as well as the structural phonetic terms that he spoke about through his talk about the spacing and convergence of the letters' exits. Ibn Sinan also employed rhetorical phonetic terms based on phonetic foundations, and he used them in the context of his talk about explaining the secret of eloquence and highlighting the features of rhetoric. They are: syllable - double- rhythm- alliteration
