Etude De L'effet Du Biochar Des Boues Résiduaires Sur La Qualité Physique Du Sol Sableux (région De Ouargla)
Résumé: Study of the effect of biochar from sewage sludge on the physical quality of sandy soil (Ouargla region) Biochar is considered a safe and beneficial method for disposal of sewage sludge. Biochar can be used as an amendment to improve the physical properties of the soil. This work aims to study the effect of biochar from sewage sludge on the physical properties of sandy soils (Ouargla region). The study is carried out in cylindrical pots in the semi-controlled greenhouse of the ITAS operation using sandy-textured soil and biochar produced from the pyrolysis of sewage sludge at 300°C and 500°C for 1 hour with limited access to air. The following three doses of biochar were used in this experiment: 1%, 2%, and 5%. The results showed that the organic matter and the yield of the produced biochars decrease while EC, pH and limestone content increase with the increase of the pyrolysis temperature. The results of the analyzes concerning the influence of biochar on the physical properties of the soil: all the treatments experienced an increase in the bulk density of the soil and the application of biochar significantly increased the permeability. The results indicated that the addition of biochar led to a significant improvement in the physical properties of the tested sandy soil.
