Étude Des Équilibres De Phases Et De L’extraction Liquide-liquide Des Systèmes Ternaires
Résumé: The study of phase’s equilibrium is very important for the optimization of the processes of separation, which in is turn essential in the conception (design) of the processes, where practical and theoretical researches were developed. Liquid-Liquid Equilibrium data for the ternary systems {water + lactic acid + solvent (1- butanol, 1-pentanol and 1-heptanol)} have been determined experimentally at 22 °C and at 1 atm. Refractive index measurement was employed to determine the concentration of all species in each phase. The distribution coefficients and separation factors have been measured in order to evaluate the ability of the solvents to extract lactic acid from water. Finally, the reliability of the obtained experimental data was successfully verified by applying the Othmer-Tobias and Hand correlations.
