Does Every Student Matter?: Distance Learning In Algerian Universities And Digital Equity.
Résumé: In a digitalized era, the notion of "digital equality" seems more important and is at the heart of a major controversy concerning identity, equality, culture, the economy, and, of course, social issues. The first aim of our work is to explore the challenges and prospects of distance education and e-learning, highlighting the relationship between school and society as two entities that are both interdependent and complementary. In doing so, a semi-structured interview is conducted to highlight the causal relationship between exclusion from school and exclusion from society, without neglecting the impact of individuals' socio-economic circumstances on so-called traditional education and especially on digital education. The results of this survey show that distance education has had a significant impact on higher education in Algeria. Distance E/A has become a viable option for students, but it also presents challenges that need to be addressed.
