Résumé: The current study focuses on an unethical and educational behavior among students, which is exam cheating. The study aims to identify the psychological profile of university students who engage in exam cheating. The clinical approach and semi-directed clinical interview were employed, along with the administration of the Multi-Faceted Personality Inventory (MMPI-2). The research tools were applied to four disciplinary cases of students who had undergone disciplinary proceedings, including three female students and one male student. The results are as follows : The psychological profile of university students engaging in exam cheating tends to exhibit a mentally healthy profile. Despite the inclination towards the tendency to normality, their psychological profile predicts organic disorders, defeatism, dissatisfaction with oneself and the external world, shyness, isolation, preoccupation with health, anxiety, anger, resentment, and resistance to criticism. There are reasons and motivations that drive university students to engage in exam cheating, including personal and psychological factors aiming for excellence and success, social factors related to the circumstances they live in, which compel them to cheat for success without concerning themselves with the means being legitimate or not, and cognitive factors due to students being accustomed to this behavior for satisfactory results. Ultimately, the personal factor of the student remains the primary factor in engaging in this behavior.
