Integrated Industrial Development Zones And Industrial Competitiveness. A Projection For The Case Of Algeria.

Résumé: This article examines the evolution of the knowledge economy in Algeria, highlighting progress made in the areas of innovation, education, and information and communication technologies (ICT) between 1995 and 2018. The data shows a significant improvement in the knowledge economy index during this period, although challenges remain regarding territorial integration and industrial development. The article underscores the importance of Integrated Industrial Development Zones (IIDZ) in enhancing territorial attractiveness and boosting industrial competitiveness, while calling for a strategic vision and effective policies to fully harness Algeria's potential in the knowledge economy. The article pinpoints several priority regions for IIDZ development, underscoring their potential to catalyze synergy among enterprises, spur innovation, and generate employment.
