The Impact Of New Public Management Principles On Higher Education Quality.

Résumé: The emergence of new public management was a response to public financial crises, aiming to introduce principles inspired by the private sector into public administration. This approach played a major role in fundamentally transforming all sectors, including Algeria’s higher education sector, which in turn faced significant challenges. This sector is now modeled on enhancing university institutional performance through efficiency, transparency, and accountability indicators, thereby driving educational institutions toward strategic planning, improving the quality of academic outputs, and more effectively meeting the needs of the labor market. The objective of our study was to analyze and clarify the aspects related to the impact of new public management on improving the quality of higher education and developing the institutional performance of universities.
