أثر تبني والإفصاح عن أنشطة المسؤولية الاجتماعية على أداء الشركات الأمريكية المدرجة ضمن مؤشر (wall Street 30)

Résumé: تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على أثر الإفصاح عن أنشطة المسؤولية الاجتماعية على أداء الشركات الأمريكية المدرجة ضمن مؤشر (Wall Street 30) خلال الفترة 2019-2021. لقد تم تقييم مستوى الالتزام بأنشطة المسؤولية الاجتماعية والإفصاح عنها بالاعتماد على التصنيفات الدورية الصادرة عن مجلة (Newsweek)، في حين تم قياس أداء الشركات الأمريكية بمؤشرين، مؤشرا سوقيا (TobinQ) ومؤشر مالي يتمثل في معدل العائد على الأصول (ROA). وقد أشارت النتائج إلى وجود أدلة على أن تبني الشركات الأمريكية للمسؤولية الاجتماعية والإفصاح عنها ضمن تقارير الشركة يؤثر إيجابيا على أدائها. كما توصلت الدراسة إلى أن فرص نمو الشركات تعتبر المتغير المحدد لهذه العلاقة، فالتأثير الذي يمارسه تبني الشركات الأمريكية للمسؤولية الاجتماعية بأبعادها الثلاثة (البيئي والاجتماعي والحوكمة) والإفصاح عنها على الأداء المالي والسوقي يختلف باختلاف فرص نمو الشركات. وتوصي الدراسة على تشجيع الشركات لتبني أنشطة المسؤولية الاجتماعية والحرص على الإفصاح عنها كونها تنعكس على أدائها وسمعتها وصورتها الجيدة. The aim of this study is to measure the impact of disclosures about social responsibility activities on the performance of American companies listed on the Wall Street 30 index during the period 2019-2021. The level of commitment to and disclosure of social responsibility activities was measured based on the periodic ratings issued by Newsweek magazine, while the performance of companies was measured by two indicators, TobinQ as a market index and return on assets (ROA) as a book financial indicator. The results indicated evidence that the adoption and disclosure of social responsibility by American companies affect positively their performance. The study also found that growth opportunities are the determinant variable for this relationship. The impact exerted by American companies’ adoption of social responsibility with its three dimensions (environmental, social, and governance) and disclosure about it on their performance varies according to the companies’ growth opportunities. The study recommends encouraging companies to adopt social responsibility activities with requirements to disclose them as they improve their performance and reputation.
