Résumé: The current study aims to reveal the correlational between mental health and psychological stress amongst a sample of university students, also to reveal the significance of statistical differences between mental health and psychological stress according to the academic level, and specialization (university major). In this study, we used two scales (mental health and psychological stress), after verifying their psychometric characteristics, as they were applied to a sample of (30) students. In particular, the value of (f) is estimated at (0.03). As for the psychological stress scale, its stability coefficient was estimated using Cronbach's alpha coefficient at (0.76), and accordingly the value of (f) was estimated at (0.712). These two tools were applied to a sample of (118) students at the University of KasdiMerbah in Ouargla, for the academic year 2021/2022, using the statistical methods represented in the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient and "T" differences test. The following results were obtained: • There is a positive, statistically significant relationship between mental health and psychological stress among the study sample. • There are no statistically significant differences in the mental health of the study sample members, due to the academic level variable (Bachelor-Master). • There are no statistically significant differences in psychological stress among the study sample members, due to the academic level variable (Bachelor-Master). • There are no statistically significant differences in mental health among the study sample members, due to the variable of specialization (medicine applied sciences - literature and social sciences). • There are no statistically significant differences in psychological stress among the study sample, due to the variable of specialization (medicine - applied sciences - literature and social sciences).
